Recommended for: Anyone, especially those who know someone that has entered rehab
Laura Sheppard absolutely nails the feelings of not just the one entering rehab but those around this person, friends, family, co-workers.
For that reason, the beginning of the book, for me, was one of the best accounts of entering rehab of all the many, many addiction and recovery books I've read.
It must be so difficult to shed whatever bit of privacy is left to put the words on paper with such incredible honesty. I did spend the first third of this book literally choking back constant tears. Thank you, Laura, for being so honest. You made the right decision in sharing even when the events were cringe-worthy as the book is great due to that openness.
