by Ruth Ware
4.7 out of 5.0
I could not put this book down. Like the main character, I lost some major sleep. But totally worth it.
Ruth Ware is an amazing writer of suspense. It flows so easily even though she's taking you through a complex and twisted story. It was genius how she used social media posts and blogs to let you know what "happened" even before you read it. And it was even more eerie being privy to this information. Such great suspense writing!
The characters were given enough background to get to know their personality but truly not enough to rule any of them out as suspect. I was rooting for Lo the whole time even when I realized she may be imagining it all, whether due to lack of sleep, medication or the recent violation she experienced.
Ware's writing is so beautifully descriptive. I have never been on a cruise ship or other luxury boat but somehow was able to picture the scenes. I was able to see the fjords and more.
I am now diving into another Ware novel, In a Dark, Dark Wood and I'm thinking it will not disappoint.
