Victoria by Daisy Goodwin (Goodreads Author) I loved this historical romp around what Queen Victoria's teenage years could have been like. I learned a great deal more about the life of the Queen and basically the way of life in the 19th century. I believe this is a television show now on PBS? And although I almost never 'watch after reading' I am making an exception here because I believe that Daisy Goodwin also wrote the script or had a big part in it. Pick this one up for a fun, and even educational, read. It's fast reading, but so solid. |
