** spoiler alert ** I haven't spent an entire night reading a book in some time. And I'm happy to find this book - and this author! I can sleep later.
I was impressed by this book for a number of reasons...
- No matter how far-fetched the details were, it was still believable and therefore relatable.
- And no matter how far down on his luck Andy was - and even though I knew he should't do what I was pretty sure he was about to do - I was still rooting for him.
- I just couldn't put the book down. Literally. And I was disappointed when it finally did have to end.
The only thing I wanted more of was Daisy. I wanted this girl to get her redemption and for the other characters to not just support her but celebrate her because, to me, the girl was real. I want to know that she survived and that she got to see happiness herself.
But the characters were full and rich and I will read anything Matthew Norman writes.
